Welcome to Harmonize Yoga and Wellness

About Me

Welcome to my corner of wellness!

I’m Loula, a Boston native with a heartfelt passion for weaving together science, spirit, and the vibrant essence of life through yoga and holistic practices. My journey began in my late teens when I discovered yoga as a refreshing shift from traditional cardio routines. Despite a background in Tae Kwon Do, soccer, and various strength training modalities, it was the profound serenity of yoga that ultimately captivated me, even if its full transformative power revealed itself over time.

My professional journey took me from the realm of cancer biology, where I earned a B.S. in Biochemistry from Northeastern University, to a deeper, more personal exploration of wellness. Life’s challenges, including a tough divorce and the loss of my father to a rare cancer, prompted me to dive into yoga with renewed purpose. This led me to become a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher in 2018, and since then, I have accumulated over 1,500 hours of teaching experience across diverse styles such as Creative Vinyasa, Power Yoga, Yin, Restorative Yoga, and Ayurvedic Yoga.

In my practice, yoga is more than just physical exercise; it is a way to harmonize the mind, body, and spirit. I am dedicated to making this ancient wisdom accessible to everyone, tailoring each class to meet individual needs with a blend of Eastern and Western practices. My teaching approach reflects my transition from oncology to holistic wellness and includes certifications as a Reiki Master Teacher, Ayurvedic Health Counselor, and in Integrative Energy Therapy.

In addition to yoga, my passion extends to the intricate world of the microbiome and its impact on health and wellness. I believe that understanding the delicate balance of our internal ecosystems can profoundly influence our well-being. My exploration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Thai Massage, PNF Stretching, and Shiatsu Training further enriches my approach, offering a holistic perspective that integrates multiple facets of healing.

Off the mat, my heart finds joy in Jyotish, the ancient Vedic astrology, and I aspire to deepen my knowledge in this mystical field. My goal is to bridge the gap between Western and Eastern medicine, fostering a more integrated approach to health and wellness.

In my classes, you can expect a nurturing environment where you are encouraged to fully embrace your practice. Whether you are drawn to the dynamic flow of Vinyasa or the soothing embrace of Restorative practices, I am committed to helping you connect breath with movement, cultivate mindfulness, and achieve balance. Join me on this transformative journey, where we blend ease, connection, and a sprinkle of joy into every moment.

I look forward to sharing this path with you and supporting your journey to wellness.

Thank you for being and thank you for being here 🙂

May all beings be happy and free,

Loula xx
